High Tea with Lisa Pavane

'The Sleeping Beauty', Opening Night
After a seemingly interminable wait, David McAllister's highly anticipated remastering of 'The Sleeping Beauty'' opened at the Festival Centre on Friday night. Wig Making with ALISON KIDD
During the Adelaide season Alison Kidd, The Australian Ballet’s resident Wigmaker, gave a fascinating insight into the 90+ wigs she hand made for The Sleeping Beauty. Alison is the full-time wigmaker of the company and must be one of the most patient people in the world. Some wigs, like the Queen’s, were handmade, while others were adapted from base wigs and had a handmade front added.
